AP300D PAVER WITH AS4173 SCREED

The new hydrostatic propel system on the AP300D utilizes two independent propel pumps and motors to deliver continuous power to each rear drive wheel for improved traction. The optional front wheel assist feature provides additional pulling power should poor base conditions exist.

Cat® C4.4 Engine The C4.4 meets emissions equivalent to U.S. EPA Tier 3 and E.U. Stage IIIA. It provides a gross power of 55.5 kW (74.4 hp).

Hydrostatic Propel System The wheel undercarriage offers quick reacting speed control, responsive power, and high travel speeds up to 16 km/hr (10 mph) when moving around the job site.

Independent control of each auger and each conveyor leads to consistent material flow in front of the screed. A four sensor system allows the operator to fine tune mix delivery, while reversible augers and conveyors limit spillage and the end of the paving pass.

Smooth Flow The AP300D has a 3.8 cubic meter (134 cubic ft) hopper capacity. A wide hopper width of 3200 mm (10' 6”) enables smooth truck delivery. Truck discharge height of 480 mm (19") and adjustable push-roller easily accept a variety of trucking fleets. Independent hopper wing control simplifies operation next to buildings and other obstacles. Narrow chain guards and optimally spaced flight bars promote smooth mix flow.

Dual operating stations slide out for better all-around visibility to the hopper and auger chamber. Machine controls are conveniently positioned on a sliding control panel. The exhaust stack provides fumes evacuation above the canopy. Two canopy choices are available; hydraulically retractable hardtop canopy or a soft-top canopy with manual or hydraulic folding capability.

Intuitive Consoles Comprehensive controls and analog gauges enable the operator to easily monitor essential functions, while grouped toggle switches ensure efficiency and performance. An automatic speed control feature maintains paving speed for smoother mats. Warning indicators keep the operator informed of machine conditions and the electronic throttle provides on-demand control. The console is equipped with a 12 volt power receptacle that supports communication devices and the lockable vandal cover provides protection.

The hydraulically extendible AS4173 screed has a paving range of 1.75 m to 3.42 m (5’ 9” to 11’ 2”). When equipped with mechanical bolt-on extensions, it can pave up to 4.0 m (13' 1"). A hydraulic paving reduction attachment narrows the paving width to 700 mm (27.5”).

Electric Screed Heat The electric heat control panel utilizes touch-pad technology and LED indicator lights to create a user-friendly interface. Three pre-set temperature settings for each screed section ensure even-heat distribution and manual adjustments provide override capability. On-board diagnostics enable the operator to verify fault indicators.

The hydraulic system is equipped with grouped and centrally located solenoids. Manual overrides simplify troubleshooting by eliminating functioning systems. Large access doors provide quick and easy inspection. The electrical system is color-coded, numbered, and wrapped in kevlar braid for easy identification and durability.
